Srinagar, Nov 23: The newly released NEET-PG 2025 tentative seat matrix by J&KBOPEE has sparked outrage in Jammu and Kashmir, with Open Merit candidates allotted just 136 out of 354 seats, an unusually low 28 per cent share, raising serious concerns over fairness and access in MD/MS courses.

As per the matrix, the available government MD and MS seats across GMC Srinagar, GMC Jammu, SKIMS Soura, GMC Baramulla, GMC Anantnag, GMC Doda and GMC Rajouri have been heavily distributed across various reserved categories, leaving a considerably smaller portion for unreserved candidates.

Many aspirants have termed the distribution “imbalanced”, urging authorities to review the matrix to ensure equitable allocation. They argue the OM share does not reflect the competitive nature of NEE
