Garden owners are being encouraged to spare £1 to assist the wildlife in their gardens, particularly during these chilly winter conditions. Birds , especially, require assistance in finding high-energy foods to survive. Many of Britain's beloved birds, such as robins, do not migrate south for the winter but instead brave our cold temperatures and search for increasingly scarce food supplies.
Some birds even fly north to the UK to escape harsher winter climates elsewhere. However, during this time of year in England, berries begin to dwindle, insects become scarcer due to habitat loss and climate change, and many garden owners neglect their outdoor spaces, leaving bird tables empty.
