It’s hockey night in Fort Wayne with the Komets looking for a sweep on their home opening weekend, facing the Wichita Thunder at 5 p.m. at Memorial Coliseum.

The game will be the Komets’ (10-3-0) first ‘Blackout’ Sunday game of the season as they aim to secure their second three-game winning streak of the season.

ECHL Commissioner Ryan Crelin is expected to be in attendance tonight as well.

Tonight’s game will also be forward Anthony Petruzzelli’s 400th with the Komets, the second-most by a single player since the franchise joined the ECHL in 2012. Since joining the team in 2018, Petruzzelli has built an ironman reputation for his 243 consecutive regular-season games played.
