WASHINGTON — DC police are looking for a suspect who allegedly shot a woman in Northeast on Saturday.

Police responded to the scene in the 5700 block of 2nd Street, Northeast around 1:46 p.m.

When they arrived, they found a woman conscious and breathing and suffering from a gunshot wound.

The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police say the suspect has a gray beard and heavy build. During the incident, he was reportedly wearing a gray hoodie. He was last seen driving a black Mercedes.
