A 26-year-old Romulus male was hospitalized with injuries sustained during a rollover crash, Michigan State Police reported.

At 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23, the Detroit Regional Communication Center was notified of a single-vehicle crash at the southbound Lodge freeway near the westbound I-94 ramp.

Upon arrival, troopers found the driver trapped inside of a Chevrolet Suburban. According to a news release, a preliminary investigation revealed the SUV likely missed the ramp to I-94, went up the grassy embankment, struck a tree and rolled over. The release said the incident likely occurred hours before troopers were notified of the crash.
