SCREVEN, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A man who was wanted for felonies in multiple counties was arrested on Sunday.
Dewayne Meeks was last seen on Nov. 15 in Screven County in the area of Plantation Road and Creek Road, according to the Screven County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say he was known to burglarize homes, hunting cabins, and vacant structures where he steals supplies, ATVs/UTVs, and firearms; he was wanted in Screven, Bulloch Jenkins, and Burke Counties.
Multiple people were arrested last week after allegedly helping Meeks evade police .
Meeks had been wanted for nearly two weeks before he was arrested.
