DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - A Rock Island man was arrested on Saturday after police said he fled and crashed.
Davenport police officers saw a sedan swerving while driving in the 1700 block of Iowa Street around 2 a.m., according to court documents.
Police said the sedan then turned the wrong way to go on 15th Street.
Officers tried to stop the sedan, which they said fled at speeds over 50 mph in a 25 mph zone.
The sedan then crashed into a parked vehicle and police said the driver, Damarcis March, 31, was taken into custody.
Officers also saw open containers of alcohol inside the sedan, and when they searched it, found an unsmoked marijuana blunt, according to the documents.
Officials said March also showed signs of impairment and admitted to having a shot.
