The Supporters' Shield winners are out.

No. 5-seeded NYCFC upset the top-seeded No. 1 Philadelphia Union 1-0 in the MLS Eastern Conference semifinals on Sunday.

NYCFC will advance to the conference finals next weekend to meet No. 3 Inter Miami , spearheaded by the in-form Lionel Messi as the Florida club will now have home-field advantage for the clash.

The lone goal came in the 27th minute right after a decent spell of play from the Union.

Some excellent quick touch passing led to Nicolas Fernandez slipping in Maxi Moralez in behind Union's backline, and the 38-year-old Moralez made no mistake getting past Andre Blake.

Philadelphia entered the game with the best defense in terms of goals conceded, but was let down by poor finishing in front of goal.
