While I never miss an opportunity to gripe about Daylight Savings Time, I’ll admit that this past timeskip has been especially difficult for me. One day I’m headed home from work while the sun is setting, and the next I don’t go home until it is completely dark. Coupled with recovering from a peskily persistent flu, and I was feeling a bit worn down.

What helps me when I feel low is to work on projects with my hands. It’s one of the reasons I have a reckless number of hobbies; an antidote to any funk is within arms reach, and I busy myself making bread, writing, quilting, doing origami, playing Go or most recently, trying watercolor painting with my daughter.
