The C.M. Russell High and Great Falls High football teams both made strides in 2025.

The Rustlers earned the No. 3 seed in the Eastern AA as they won their first playoff game since 2014 and earned their first winning season in that span.

The Bison finished the year strong, taking the rivalry victory over CMR before picking up their first postseason win in four seasons.

This fall, both programs were led by returning stars who branched out from their primary positions to make an impact on both sides of the ball.

For the 2025 gridiron season, the Tribune is crowning CMR’s Hunter Lee and Great Falls High’s Steele Harris as co-Electric City Football MVPs.

Lee, a three-year starter at linebacker, continued his dominant defensive play while also helping power the Rustlers offense at tailback
