Since forming their strategic partnership in 2022, Air Canada and Emirates have moved hundreds of thousands of passengers, seamlessly linking Canada and the U.S. to Dubai and major global destinations.

Following the partnership’s significant success, Emirates and Air Canada have recently committed to deepening their collaboration , signing a memorandum of understanding to expand and extend the relationship until December 31, 2032.

However, despite clear benefits for both airlines, some critics have questioned the partnership from the outset, arguing that Emirates’ decades of global super-connector experience contrasts sharply with Air Canada’s more limited long-haul expertise, creating a power imbalance.
