The Louisiana rapper, who was born as Michael Lawrence Tyler, is forced to wait for trial following a number of serious charges that stem from a run in with law enforcement back in 2022.
Ascension Parish Judge Steven Tureau rejected the well-known rapper’s request for bond after his mother and his business manager had given tear-jerking testimony. The two assured the court that they would help monitor him if released.
Afterward, Judge Tureau ruled that the rapper, 54, will not be granted bond. As a result, he will be kept behind bars until the trial date, which is set for some time next year, per Hip-HopVibe.com .
It’s a major legal blow that sets the “Here I Go” rapper back from getting out of jail sooner.
