Chancellor Rachel Reeves is preparing to deliver the Autumn Budget on November 26, the second budget for this Labour Party government.
Part of it will come in the form of an extra £1.2 billion in savings pledged by cracking down on fraudulent welfare payments up to 2031.
She is expected to scrap the two-child limit that has long been criticised as driving child poverty.

However, Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch said: “On Wednesday, Starmer and Reeves are going to increase your taxes to fund more welfare.”
Green Party leader Zack Polanski and the Unite union’s Sharon Graham are demanding she impose far tougher wealth taxes as well.
In response, a Treasury source told the Guardian
