Five Michigan rest areas are set to close for the winter season on Dec. 1, the Michigan Department of Transportation said on Monday, Nov. 24.
Michigan has 61 rest areas in total and most of the other 56 are slated to remain open throughout the winter "to maintain the convenience and safety they provide to motorists," MDOT said in a release.
