The budgets of American families are already stretched to the limit with rising costs for necessities such as food and child care. We cannot afford for health care premiums to go through the roof also.

The $1 trillion in Medicaid cuts made by Donald Trump’s Republican party put health care at risk for children, seniors, people with disabilities and especially rural communities.

Rising health care costs are a result of a policy choice. Congress has a clear path to prevent this health care crisis by making the ACA tax credits permanent and rolling back the cuts to Medicaid.

The health of Americans should be prioritized over tax cuts for the wealthy.
