TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The Sunday after El Tour de Tucson brought back cyclists for a final ride in memory of a friend they lost in October.

53-year-old Edwin Alexander was hit and killed by a cement truck while riding in Marana.

That very intersection where he died now hosts a memorial for Alexander, after a 12-mile bike ride by dozens of cyclists delivered a ghost bike in his honor.

Between all of the people who spoke, they always came back to his big smile, including his brother Gregorio Alexander.

“Wherever I see up to the sky, I’ll see that smile,” Gregorio said. “Because I know he’s up there in heaven with our Lord.”
