Maple Grove Bible Church's drama ministry will present its holiday production, "T’was the Night Before Christmas in Allentown, New Jersey," on Dec. 6, according to a community announcement.
The play, written and directed by Bill Cole, follows a small, struggling New Jersey family-owned company tasked with hosting a Christmas production in their community. The group, with the help of a three-humped camel, Irish clogging angels and an out-of-control kangaroo, manage the task poorly. A few good lessons are learned along the way.
"The result is a funny, yet touching, retelling of the Christmas story," Cole said in the announcement. "Our actors are accompanied by awesome shadow puppets and wonderful music in a spirited rendering that is a ton of fun for the whole family."
