State Representative Aftyn Behn (D-Nashville), who was named the "AOC of Tennessee" by Dickson County Democrats only days before she launched her congressional campaign, reportedly secured support from the Democratic National Committee (DNC) to create a door knocking effort capable of contacting 40,000 voters in less than one week. 

According to a Friday report by Axios, the DNC confirmed the presence of national volunteers in Tennessee's 7th Congressional District, where Democrats seek to flip a district that previously voted for former U.S. Representative Mark Green in a landslide last year. Republicans have nominated Matt Van Epps, a former veteran and Tennessee state official.
