The University of Alabama at Birmingham football team is entering the final week of its season while players are also dealing with two of their teammates stabbed by another player on campus before last week's game.

The Blazers lost 48-18 to South Florida to fall to 3-8 on the season and 1-6 in the American Conference.

Both players were taken to UAB Hospital for treatment and are now stable, the interim head coach said after Saturday's game.

The team chose to still play on Saturday in honor of the seniors. Some players did choose to sit out.
