The New York Giants have made another move with their coaching staff after another late-game collapse.
The team has fired defensive coordinator Shane Bowen, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported Monday morning. NFL Media's Tom Pelissero reported that outside linebackers coach Charlie Bullen will serve as interim defensive coordinator.
Bowen's firing comes the morning after the Giants fell 34-27 to the Detroit Lions in overtime. New York had a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter before the Lions tied the game in regulation, scored on the first play from scrimmage in overtime and sacked Giants QB Jameis Winston on a fourth down to close out the game.
