Bristol City's Championship rivals, Swansea City, have announced the appointment of Vitor Matos as their new head coach, just days after their defeat at the hands of the Robins at Ashton Gate.
The South Wales club, which parted company with Alan Sheehan early in the November international break, confirmed in a statement published early on Monday afternoon that Matos has put pen to paper on a contract, which will run until the end of the 2028/29 Championship campaign, to become the Swans' new boss.
The 37-year-old, who was previously a coach at Premier League giants Liverpool and most recently took charge of Maritimo - a side in the Portuguese second division - will lead Swan
