This shocking statistic has been revealed by personal injury law firm, Simmrin Law Group, which placed Oregon as the sixth most alarming rate of alcohol use nationwide.
Researchers analyzed alcohol abuse among adults 18 and older, using data from the Kaiser Family Foundation’s Mental Health Statistics between 2021 and 2023.

Oregon reported an average of 427,000 cases among 3,299,300 residents during that period.
The study measured and ranked each state based on the number of reported alcohol use disorder cases per 1,000 adults to identify states facing the most significant risks of alcohol addiction.
