TRAVERSE CITY — Gas prices across Northern Michigan are holding steady ahead of the Thanksgiving travel week, with the statewide average sitting just above $3 per gallon, according to new data from AAA.
The average price for regular unleaded in Michigan is $3.099 as of Nov. 24. That’s down slightly from $3.113 on Saturday and nearly identical to the $3.101 average recorded a month ago.
Prices are still higher than the $3.005 average Michigan drivers were paying at this time last year.
AAA reports mid-grade fuel in Michigan is averaging $3.711, premium is at $4.278 and diesel is at $3.919.
In Northern Michigan, prices remain lower than the statewide average.
