One more domino has fallen in the coaching carousel. This time, it’s in Division 2 football. Eastern New Mexico has found its replacement for Kelley Lee in Art Briles. The school confirmed the hire today, marking a new era for the Greyhounds.

Briles brings with him some important D1 experience to Eastern New Mexico. He was a head coach at Houston and Baylor. Unfortunately, he was fired from Baylor after the program caught flak for sexual assault allegations against players. Briles then moved on to coach in the Canadian and Italian Football Leagues. His overall record as an HC stands at 99-65.

“I am excited to welcome Art (Briles) to Eastern New Mexico University,” AD Kevin Fite announced today. “He is an excellent coach, and I look forward to the future of Greyhound football.”
