A man was taken to hospital with head injuries after being punched to the floor. The incident happened on New Road Avenue in Chatham at around 4.20am on November 22.

The victim, in his 20s, had been assaulted by another man. They had been in a nearby bar before an altercation took place outside which resulted in the victim being punched to the floor.

He was taken to a local hospital with head injuries and remains there in a stable condition. A Kent Police spokesperson said: "Officers attended but the suspect had left the scene prior to their arrival.

"He is described as being a white man, 5ft 6in, with blond hair and wearing a grey/black jacket."
