LLOYD, N.Y. — A Highland man’s arrest for attempted murder followed a domestic dispute in which he “repeatedly struck” a woman, causing serious injuries, state police said.
On Monday, Nov. 17, at about 3:56 p.m., state police at Highland responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a Lloyd hotel on U.S. Route 9W, police said.
Investigators found that Mark Hayward Cannon, 32, of Highland, repeatedly struck a 56-year-old female victim, according to a press release.
Cannon, 32, was arrested by state police at Highland in the town of Poughkeepsie at 5:13 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, according to the state police blotter.
