The Barrington 250th Ad Hoc Committee kicked off its commemorative brick campaign earlier this month.

The event, held at Bluewater Bar and Grill, was one of the many celebrations planned by the Barrington 250th Ad Hoc Committee for the country’s 250th anniversary.

JB Boyle, the committee’s chair, said her group has been working hard to organize the festivities.

“We have a lot of wonderful events coming up, starting with the tree lighting ceremony at the town hall in December,” Boyle said during a recent interview. The “Red, White and Blue” tree lighting is planned for Saturday, Dec. 6 outside Barrington Town Hall.
