As we come to the close of Premier League matchweek 12, it’s fair to say that the table isn’t looking the way that many people would have predicted. Arsenal are sitting six points clear of second place, a Cole Palmer-less Chelsea are leading the lethargic chasing pack, and Liverpool are sliding down the standings at an alarming rate.
After breaking the British transfer record not once but twice this summer, it’s safe to say Fenway Sports Group aren’t getting the return on investment they had hoped for on their bumper window. However, things could be about to go from bad to worse for the Reds.
