Barry Dunning Jr. had 17 points for Pitt, Nojus Indrusaitis had 14 and Cameron Corhen scored 13 for the ACC school.
Dunning cut the Bobcats' lead to 70-64 with a 3-pointer with 5:24 left, but Quinnipiac (4-2) took control from there.
Monroe hit back-to-back jumpers and Randall nailed a 3-pointer to make it 77-64 with 3:47 left.
Indrusaitis went on a personal seven-point run with two layups and a 3-pointer to cut the deficit to 81-73 with 1:09 left, but Pitt could not get any closer.
