ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO, – A man believed to be homeless with a last known address in South Peoria has been identified as the victim in a fatal officer-involved shooting at St. Louis’ Lambert International Airport.
St. Louis County Police on Monday said 31-year-old Darius Kennedy was the victim in Friday’s incident.
Saint Louis Airport Police officers were conducting routine security checks in Terminal 1 early Friday morning just after 1:00 when they encountered a man, later identified as Kennedy, with a knife.
Police say Kennedy reportedly refused to drop the weapon and was tased by one police officer, but Kennedy continued to advance.
