The Patriots apparently dodged a major bullet on Sunday.
During New England’s road win over the Cincinnati Bengals, rookie tackle Will Campbell suffered a knee injury that , at the time, appeared serious. However, head coach Mike Vrabel on Monday revealed that Campbell could return relatively soon.
“He won’t be out there this week,” Vrabel told reporters. “It’s going to be a couple weeks. We’ll have to make a decision here on the roster to see how long that will be, and go from there. But it’s nothing that’s going to, hopefully, put him out for the entire season.”
Vrabel’s update followed a report from NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, who revealed that Campbell suffered an MCL sprain and is a “ candidate ” for injured reserve but could return for the playoffs.
As for Jared Wilson, Vrabel
