ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — For the second time this month, Georgia congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is denying rumors she plans to run for president.
Late Friday, Greene stunned the nation by announcing she was resigning from Congress, effective Jan. 5, 2026, setting into motion another round of speculation about her future.
In early November, Greene appeared on CNN after NOTUS.org , which bills itself as a nonpartisan news organization, published a story alleging Greene was telling people she’s running for president.
“I never said I was... running for president in 2028,” Greene said. “I said I wasn’t running for governor ... in this upcoming election. I said I wasn’t running for Senate in this upcoming election, and I haven’t said I’m running for president."
