This summer, storms and flooding caused millions of dollars in damage in six counties across Wisconsin, including more than $22 million in Milwaukee County alone. Instead of stepping up to help us recover from these floods, the Trump administration just denied our request for additional FEMA aid.

This is an egregious abdication of duty by our federal government. Instead of helping us recover from this natural disaster, the Trump administration is sending a clear message: We’re on our own. Taxpayers will likely bear the burden of these additional costs.
