An investigation has begun into the cause of a huge sinkhole which has opened up in a busy area of Swansea. The city council's highways teams are surveying the scene of the collapsed surface, which has appeared on Brynymor Road, at the junction of Westbury Street, on Saturday.
The reinstatement of the road will begin when the investigation has established the cause of the sinkhole, Swansea Council said. In the meantime, Brynymor Road remains closed to traffic between Westbury Street and Eaton Crescent.
