WICKENBURG, AZ (AZFamily) — The National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed on Monday that a weak tornado touched down northwest of Phoenix in Maricopa County last week.
The tornado was reported near Forepaugh , a small community near Wickenburg, last Tuesday, Nov. 18. The short-lived twister has a preliminary rating of EF-O, the lowest rating on the Enhanced Fujita Scale , with wind speeds estimated at 80-85 miles per hour.
The NWS says that the storm damaged property near U.S. Highway 60, including an overturned RV trailer. No injuries were reported.
