Manchester United are without forward Matheus Cunha for this evening's clash with Everton after a 'training ground accident'.

The Red Devils take on David Moyes ' side at Old Trafford on Monday evening, but Cunha is sidelined for the game. Worries were first raised about the Brazilian's fitness after he pulled out of a Christmas light switch-on event in Altrincham.

A statement from organisers read: "Unfortunately, Matheus Cunha has had an accident in training today and will not be able to attend tonight's Christmas Lights Switch on in Altrincham due to medical reasons."

And it appears that the issue has been severe enough to sideline the £62.5m forward. Cunha has scored once since his summer move from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
