FLINT – The Flint Firebirds entered the weekend road trip on a six-game win streak and extended it to nine with wins over the Brampton Steelheads, Guelph Storm, and Owen Sound Attack.

The Firebirds improved its record to 17-6-1 on the season and are third in the Western Conference behind the Windsor Spitfires and Sound Attack.

Friday – Flint Firebirds 2, Brampton Steelheads 1 (SO)

The gritty wins continued to pile up for the Firebirds as it escaped with a shootout victory over the Steelheads on Friday.

Firebirds goalie Mason Vaccari was brilliant in net again, stopping 21 of the 22 shots he faced and making a pair of saves in shootout play.
