This might be your one chance to get away with driving on the shoulder.
A tractor trailer rolled over on State Route 347 near Old Maricopa Road about 11:15 a.m., blocking all southbound lanes, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. Traffic was diverted onto the shoulder while crews worked to move the truck.
No injuries were reported in the rollover, said Department of Public Safety spokesperson Bart Graves.
DPS did not say what caused the crash, but witness Kahley Dozier has her suspicions. She watched it happen as she was commuting into Maricopa.
“My guess is going too fast he couldn’t stop it was trying the light. Our light was green to go,” she wrote in the Maricopa Traffic Rants Facebook group.
She added, “The cab rolled very slowly so he should be okay.”
