Meet Girlie, a truly special kitty hoping for her second chance. Girlie is a 9-year-old calico with a heart full of love and a story that shows how resilient animals can be. She once had a wonderful home and a feline best friend, but when her friend went missing and multiple moves turned her world upside down, Girlie became anxious and started having accidents outside the litter box. It was her way of saying she wasn’t okay.

When she arrived at High Country Humane, our medical and behavior teams helped her feel safe again. With gentle care, patience, and medication to support her anxiety, Girlie has begun to rediscover comfort and trust.
