VISALIA, Calif. (KFSN) -- A quiet Visalia neighborhood is left shaken after a man was found dead inside his home.

"It's shocking anywhere around here," said Armando Soria

Soria lives just feet away from where police made the grim discovery.

"Robert Costanzo, who lived with his brother, was found deceased inside the home," said Liz Jones from the Visalia Police Department.

Investigators showed up at the home on East Laura Avenue around 10:45 Sunday morning to perform a welfare check on 71-year-old Robert Costanzo, who was found dead inside a bedroom.

The department is now ordering its violent crimes unit to dig deeper.
