The Chairman of the BBC Samir Shah has apologised to licence fee payers for mistakes the corporation made which have led to President Trump threatening to sue it for billions of dollars and resulted in the resignation of the director general and head of news.
Mr Shah and other BBC executives appeared at a Commons committee to explain how the BBC was plunged into such a crisis.
The row centres on a BBC documentary which edited together parts of a speech made by President Trump in January 2021.
