Northamptonshire Police force has launched misconduct proceedings against four of its officers, over their handling of events preceding the murder of 24-year-old Harshita Brella.

Her body was found in the boot of a car in east London in November last year, four days after it is believed she was strangled in Corby.

She had reported her husband Pankaj Lamba to police for domestic abuse. He is now thought to be in India after having fled the UK.
