OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The man arrested in connection to a deadly hit-and-run crash near downtown Omaha made his first appearance in court on Monday.
40-year-old Charles White faces one count of failure to stop and render aid, serious injury or death.
White’s bond was set at $250,000. He could face up to four years in prison or a $25,000 fine.
Court documents identified the victim in the crash as 29-year-old Jacob Swanson.
Witnesses told officers that a black or white truck was the one that struck Swanson.
After using a license plate reader, authorities were able to locate a black truck with a white hood and roof. The truck had a business’ logo on the side and damage consistent with the crash.
