Gerwyn Price will begin his bid for a second World Darts Championship crown when he goes up against Adam Gawlas in the first round at Alexandra Palace.
World No.9 Price, who became world champion for the first and to date only time in 2021, has been in excellent form of late, reaching the semi-final of the last three major TV tournaments.
On Sunday, Price progressed through into the last-four of the Players Championship Finals, only to lose out to eventual winner and the world's current best player, Luke Littler.
Previously, the 40-year-old got to the last-four at the Grand Slam and the World Grand Prix and has appeared to find his groove ahead of next month's revamped World Championship at Al
