AVON, CT. (WFSB) - A person suffered a medical emergency and crashed into a pizza restaurant in Avon Monday.

The shop, E&D Pizza, said that crews are already repairing the building. The store will be back open Tuesday morning.

The person was driving on Route 44 before suffering the medical emergency.

No serious injuries were reported.
