MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Six National Guardsmen deployed to Memphis with the Memphis Safe Task Force are being praised for their quick action after they came upon a crash on Interstate 40.
According to the Tennessee Military Department, just before 7 p.m. on November 14, soldiers from the 269th Military Police Company in Murfreesboro were driving westbound on I‑40 near Appling Farms Road when they witnessed two vehicles collide.
The guardsmen, Specialists Johnathan Bradley, Hannah Cole, Laredo Hixson, Joshua Hodges, Kaitlynn Pope and Private First Class Evan Gore, pulled over immediately to secure the scene and render aid while awaiting the arrival of first responders.
