MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (KCRG) - One brother will spend the next six and a half years in prison, and the other brother 12 years behind bars, on their convictions and sentences for conspiracy to distribute heroin.
53-year-old Marcel Oden and 56-year-old Jerry Oden distributed more than 100 grams of heroin in the Marshalltown area for at least three years. A judge sentenced them on the federal charges on October 3.
Both had prior convictions. Marcel Oden has state convictions in an assault case. At the time of his arrest in this case, Jerry Oden was on parole for 2018 convictions on state charges for delivery of heroin and marijuana possession. Jerry Oden also has a 2014 conviction for having heroin with the intent to deliver it and being a prohibited person with a gun.
