Joplin's new splash park and ice ribbon to be built in Ewert Park will be named for two teachers who were known for their accomplishments in education, but who also worked with children in their roles overseeing Ewert Pool.

The Joplin City Council has approved a resolution to name the splash park for Betty Robinson-Gray and Thelma Meeks. ×
