WAYNESBORO, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A man is wanted for allegedly tampering with evidence in a deadly shooting in Waynesboro, according to the Waynesboro Police Department.
Police say Thomarus White has an active warrant for tampering with evidence in relation to a shooting that left Kennarius McBride dead after an altercation inside the Sunoco at 740 E. Seventh Street on Nov. 13.
McBride was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries, officials said.
Investigators reviewed store surveillance footage that identified another man, Jalen Floyd Cox, as the suspect in the shooting.
Cox turned himself in hours later at the Burke County Detention Center, county officials said.
White is known to frequent the area of Briarwood Apartments in Waynesboro, according to the sheriffs office
