PEORIA, Ill. – An arrest has been made after an assault near a Peoria apartment complex in August.
Peoria Police says 29-year-old Jalyn Grinslade was identified as the suspect in the incident near Brandywine Crossing in the early morning hours of August 11th.
A 24-year-old female reportedly told police that a male physically assaulted her, showed a handgun, and fired a shot before fleeing on foot. The victim suffered minor injuries.
Police say a vehicle associated to Grinslade was found at Brandywine Crossing on Friday, reportedly with a handgun inside that was removed after a search warrant was found.
Grinslade was later found at a business on University, north of Forrest Hill. He was taken into custody and arrested for Aggravated Domestic Battery, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapo
